Importance of Army Values These days the military of the nation is the substance of its freedom, patriotism, national security and power. Living the Army Values As we begin our career into the Army and start going through basic training (BCT) we learn a new meaning of the words: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.We are taught to live and breathe these Army values.We start with Loyalty: The quality of being loyal or having a strong feeling of support or allegiance.The Army Values defines your character and guide your actions as you develop your leadership style. You must embody these values every day in your decision making and problem solving, and especially in setting the example for my fellow soldiers.
Army values are important in achieving the goal of the country and protecting the people which gives moral confidence and strength in times of combat. The seven core values in the Army are: loyalty, duty, respect, self-less service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.
